We know you might have a few questions about Reformer Pilates and our studio, so we have put together this handy FAQ to help you out. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Packages and Memberships

  • Can I try a Reformer Pilates class before committing to a membership?

    Yes, we offer packages with trial passes for those who would like to experience Reformer Pilates before committing to a package.

  • Can I transfer my membership account to another holder?

    No, all packages are intended for the recipient who purchased them and are non-transferable.

  • When does my class/package become active? Does it have an expiry date?

    The first class must be booked within 1 month from the date of purchase. Otherwise, remaining sessions will be non-refundable. Subsequent classes have to be used within the following time frame:

    Purchase of 4 passes: valid for 1 month

    Purchase of 8 Passes: valid for 2 months

    Purchase of 12 Passes: valid for 3 months

    Purchase of 24 Passes: valid for 6 months

    Purchase of 48 Passes: valid for 12 months

  • Can I extend the expiration date of my classes or package?

    Please contact our studio for extension options. Extensions are granted on a case-by-case basis and may require an additional fee.

Booking and Scheduling

  • Do I have to download the am Pilates application to purchase the package?

    Yes, you will have to download our am Pilates application and purchase your desired package under the [BUY>REFORMER PILATES (GROUP)] tab.

  • How do I book a class?

    After purchasing our packages, you can book your desired class through our am Pilates application, under the [BOOK] tab. Advanced booking is recommended to secure your spot due to limited reformer beds each session.

  • How far in advance can I book my classes?

    You can book your classes up to 7 days in advance, on a first come first serve basis. You may however view the class schedule for the whole month.

    (E.g. Classes for next Friday will be available for booking this Friday, at 00:00 midnight)

  • How do I view the class schedule?

    You can view our class schedule either through our am Pilates application, or check out under the Catalog section through our Whatsapp Business (+65 9693 4753).

  • Is there a minimum age required to attend a class?

    Yes, the minimum age required to attend a Reformer Pilates class at am Pilates is 16 years old.

Cancellation Policy

  • Can I cancel or reschedule my class?

    Yes, you can! Just manage your bookings through our app.

    Note: Class cancellations must be made by 9PM the day prior.

Classes and Levels

  • What should I wear to a Reformer Pilates class?

    Wear comfy, form-fitting activewear that you can move in easily. Avoid loose clothing that may get caught in the reformer. They help keep you stable on the Reformer.

    Grip socks are a must for our classes too – for better traction and hygiene purposes. Don’t own a pair? Drop by our studio to purchase our very own am Pilates socks!

  • How early should I arrive?

    Try to be here about 10 minutes before your class starts. This gives you time to check in, prepare and meet your teacher.

    Please ensure punctuality for all classes to prevent disturbance and safety purposes.

  • How long is a typical Reformer Pilates class?

    Classes at am Pilates last for 50 minutes.

    Please arrive 10 minutes before your class to register your attendance and change into your attire.

  • Do I have to attend an introductory class before Essential Strength and Active Mobility classes?

    Yes, you will have to attend at least 1 introductory class before signing up for the other classes, regardless if you have attended classes outside of am Pilates.

  • What are the differences between the classes offered?

    Introductory Class - Designed for beginners, this class introduces the basics of Reformer Pilates, focusing on proper form, breathing techniques, and foundational exercises.

    Essential Strength - Aimed at building overall strength and stability, this class incorporates a variety of resistance exercises using the reformer machine.

    Active Mobility - Focused on improving flexibility and joint health, this class combines Pilates with dynamic stretching and controlled movements to enhance overall mobility.

  • Is there a specific etiquette I should follow during the class?

    Yes, please follow these guidelines:

    Arrive on time to avoid disrupting the class.

    Silence your mobile phone.

    Listen to the teacher’s guidance and respect other participants.

    Disinfect the Reformer machine after use with the provided wipes.

Amenities

  • What amenities are available in the studio?

    Our restrooms are equipped with shower and locker facilities. We provide towels too!

Health and Wellness

  • Can I practice Reformer Pilates if I have an injury?

    If you have any health concerns or conditions, please consult with your healthcare provider before starting a Reformer Pilates class. Inform your teacher of any conditions so they can pay more attention to you if required.

  • I’m new to Pilates – will the classes be too hard for me?

    Not at all! We welcome all fitness levels. Our teachers are great at modifying exercises to suit beginners and making sure you are comfortable.

  • How often should I practice Reformer Pilates?

    That would depend on your fitness goals. Generally, 2-3 times a week is a great start. Consistency is key to seeing results.

  • What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?

    Reformer Pilates is fantastic for improving flexibility, strength, posture, and overall body awareness. Plus, it’s a great way to de-stress and feel good!
